Educator Workshops
Participants will begin with an overview of modern human rights and their humble beginnings- from Nuremberg- the city of Peace and Human Rights-all the way to the Hague, the seat of the ICC (International Criminal Court). We will look closely at the UDHR (United Declaration of Human Rights) and its subsequent conventions that pertain to children and families, specifically.

We will then continue by looking closely at social issues, such as the environmental crises, protections for the LGBTQAI+ community, women's rights, the rights of asylum seekers, and many others. We will also look at how human rights are present in all of these issues and how teachers can help students address these topics, armed with knowledge about the law and organisations that they can get involved with.
